Make Up Brands You May Not Realise Are Cruelty Free Brands

Cruelty free makeup has grown at rapid speed over the past year or so. Many makeup brands are continuously showing their support by not selling in China where animal testing on cosmetics is compulsory or by altering their ingredients along with numerous other brands popping up who are cruelty free from the outset.
You may not even be aware of the brands that aren't cruelty free. These include the likes of MAC, Bobbi Brown, Kiehls, Estee Lauder,TRESemme, Avon, Clinique, Elizabeth Arden, Simple, D&G, Dior, Benefit, Maybelline, L'oreal and many more.

So instead of funding companies who like to test on animals (find out a little more here), here is a list of fab brands which are completely cruelty free, meaning that makeup shopping doesn't have to leave you feeling guilty. After all no animal deserves to be tortured so you can put a product on your face!

So here is just a few of the brands who are fab...

Illamasqua

I love their foundation and highlighters, both give fantastic coverage, read my review here. Their lipliners provide great pigment but can make your lips really dry so definitely need lipstick or gloss to go with.

Anastasia Beverly Hills

Known for their brow products, I use the powder due of which I am a huge fan . Their new moonchild eyeshadow palette looks absolutely stunning and is definitely in my top products to try.

E.L.F.

EyesLipsFace is such a diverse brand from brushes to coverups with all products being reasonably priced as well. Their brush collections are a little lustworthy and of course completely cruelty free!

Barry M

Now, Barry M was always that makeup brand that I could afford when I was 14 with my pocket money and always did really whacky products. Times have changed and their nail varnish collection is all I buy, and their lip liner and new matte lipgloss looks like the perfect addition for any night out bag!

Urban Decay (although owned by L'oreal who are not cruelty free)

From their eye shadows to my secret weapon, the setting spray, Urban decay does everything well, and is one of my favourite places to have my makeup done as their artists are super talented!

Too Faced

There mascara is known to be fab (read my review here) and their eyeshadows look picture perfect as well. Plus, they are cruelty free of course!

Charlotte Tilbury

Charlotte Tilbury is known for being a wonder women and understandably so. Everyone I know raves about the products and although I am yet to test them out, the number of awards they have won provides all the evidence I need!

BECCA
You may never have heard of BECCA before and I hadn't until recently. They are all about creating that incredible dewy look and I really want to test out their Shimmering skin perfector! Although you cant by direct from their website to the UK, there are still plenty of options

TARTE (although owned by Kose who are not cruelty free)

The last brand you may not realise is cruelty free it Tarte. Tart has become super popular in the last year for its eyeshadows. I certainly know that the shimmer they pack is gorgeous and I can not wait to get my hand on some when my e.l.f. shadows run out!

There are so many other amazing brands which can be found out there as well. Questioning brands you already use is becoming easier, with may brands saying if they test on animals in their Q&A pages. The best bet though if you're unsure, is just not to buy it.

What are your favourite cruelty free brands? Would you recommend any brands to try out?
