Date Night; Turtle Bay, Leeds

Last week for date night I used up a voucher I had won at Leeds RAG Fashion show which was a meal for two at Turtle Bay in Leeds. Recently everyone has been raving about it and I thought it was about time that I tested out the food and checked out what the fuss was all about.

After arriving we were seated at our table at the window and ordered our cocktails which arrived really quickly.

I ordered a Jammin' which was made up of apricot liquor and rum of course along with a few other ingredients whilst Louis ordered Passion rum punch. They were both very tasty.

We also decided to have starters and dessert (it had been a tough day) and our starters came out really quickly as well. We were really impressed so far!

For starters we shared the duck rolls and the fried squid. I would really recommend the squid as it was delicious, if you like sea food anyway.

After sipping on cocktails and chatting for a little  (the company wasn't half bad) our mains arrived in quick succession.

I ordered the jerk ribs which were really really tasty but be warned the spice heat gradually builds up on you so have a drink at the ready. Lou had the steak which was absolutely incredible and I was slightly jealous of just how good that was!

After letting our food hit our tummies we then ordered dessert and another cocktail because, well, why not?

I had the lemon and lime tart with passion fruit sauce which was really nice, and very zingy. I would say though I probably didn't need the dessert and that the cocktail would have been plenty and if I had to pick I would definitely recommend having a starter and main instead of a main and dessert which is a bold statement coming from a dessert kinda girl!

The meal was great and I would definitely go back again, especially as they have 241 cocktails after 10 and so could be the perfect place for a late meal and drinks to follow. I would love to try a few other things on the menu too and as the prices are quite reasonable there is nothing to not love.

After the meal we then headed into town for a few drinks firstly in Revolution de Cuba, which was my first time in there since it opened. The cocktails are great, my only issue is that you're not able to use your revs cards and so this does make it all very expensive. On the plus side though, I had a cocktail in a elephant cup! AMAZING

Have you tried Turtle Bay yet? Where would you recommend eating in Leeds?
