My Top Things To Do In London This Summer

Everyone loves London but lots of people don't always know what to do when they are there. Visiting recently I can completely relate and so I have compiled a list of the favourite things I found on my visits.

Yoga Class, Hyde Park

If like me you love a good yoga class, COMO Shambhala are running their last free session on Saturday 1st August at 10am. The class I went to was wonderful and the perfect thing to kick start your day! To find out more read my post about my class here

The Breakfast Club,Spitalfields, Soho, Angel, Battersea Rise, Hoxton.

Want to experience the best breakfast of your life? Then head to one of the Breakfast clubs across London. You do have to get there pretty early to avoid the queues, after 10am there is normally at least a 30 minute wait at the weekend but the food is so worth the wait. I would highly recommend the blueberry pancakes with a side of streaky bacon. Delicious! You can find out about my experience here  or for more information, here.

Sky Garden, City of London

The Sky Garden is amazing but really really hard to get into on the evenings, that's because the garden offers you a wonderful view over all of London and it's free. At the top there is 2 restaurants and a wine bar, which in the day time doubles as a cafe. If you're organised, then book an evening slot, but the views are just as spectacular in the day time. It's really worth grabbing a slot just to see the city from a different side. Just make sure you know everyone who's in the party as you are required to give names and show ID so no swapping can happen. Book here

Shoes: Pleasure and Pain,V&A Museum

If like me you are a shoe obsessive, this exhibit is definitely worth a visit. The fact you get to see a real life glass slipper is incredible plus plenty of other gorgeous footwear options, it's like a new way of window shopping as you know you can't buy any of them. Grab your tickets here

Summer Tales, Shoreditch

Not able to go away this summer? No worries, just head to Summer Night Tales in Shoreditch. The outside venue has been decked out with a Hawaiian feel. Plenty of rum based cocktails, street food stalls and a great dance floor to spend the evening. They also have cocktails served in coconuts (You may have seen them on my instagram, @erinkaywilliams) along with cabanas to rent out if there is a big group of you wanting to go! Its perfect for a warm summer evening and you can book on the day if you're worried about the weather (the queue without tickets only took us ten minutes though). Find out more here

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Waterloo

I am a massive fan of Alice in Wonderland, so much so that my 21st was "Alice" themed. When this experience opened up I really wanted to go. The show element takes you down into wonderland where you attend the mad hatters tea party and you can rise against the queen. Sadly I didn't get to see the show, which has had amazing reviews, but I did make it to the bar which is held in the venue and has only recently opened up with free entry to the public and open till 2am it really is a crazy place to be with a DJ playing some real classic sing along songs. The cocktails are insanely strong so you definitely get your moneys worth. A must do if you're wanting to experience a little madness with matinee and evening shows available, more information here.

Madison Rooftop Bar, St Paul's.

Madison is in an unlikely place above a shopping arcade, but offers a lovely view across the city and you are right next to St Paul's Cathedral. I didn't eat at the restaurant but I have heard only good things and for the amazing setting the food prices are pretty reasonable. Book a table for around 7 so you can head onto the decking area to watch the sun set across London. A perfect way to spend the evening. They even have a cocktail on the menu for  £7! Bargain. Outdoor Cinemas, Across London

I have always really wanted to go to one of these, they seem like great fun and most of them are free or at least under £10! Grab your friends and head to one to watch Grease, Clueless, The Breakfast Club or another classic film to cheer you up. Find out more here.

What are your favourite things to do in London? What should I add to my list?

Love
