Valentines Date Ideas...With a Twist

So as it's Valentines Day tomorrow, I brainstormed some ideas that I thought maybe fun to do this year. I know that living busy lives means fitting in something fun to do can become hard but that shouldn't stop you! Here are my favourite ideas to do, and even if you cant get any of them done this valentines day, they are still good fun to do for a date night what ever time of year.

1. Drive to the nearest beach at night and watch the sunrise-make sure you take a flask of hot chocolate!

2. Have an inside picnic, complete with mini sandwiches and lots of cake!

3. Do something completely different, whether you go skiing, rock climbing or learn to knit together, as long as its fun you will both enjoy it!

4. Get in touch with nature- go for a walk around your local area and see what wildlife you can spot, the person who sees the most wins and doesn't have to buy the drinks to warm you up.

5. Instead of heading out for a meal together, head into the kitchen together to cook up a storm. You wont just have great food but also get to do something together that you may not often do.

6. Pretend you don't know each other! You could spend the whole night trying cheesy chat up lines and asking those awkward first date questions, like, "whats your name again?"

7. Games night. Bring out those old board games and see who can win, or even better, find that old xbox or PS2 and take each other on in a classic game like sonic! Just make sure you stay away from Monopoly, we all know that ends badly.

8. Head to your nearest arcade and waste all those 2p's you have lying around along with getting to bring out your inner child!

 9. Play truth or dare! You think you may know everything about your other half and even if you do, you can make up quirky dares that can have you laughing at and with each other! Nothing better than reliving embarrassing moments that you have shared with each other, and if you dont know everything, learning new things about each other will make you feel more connected too. A win win!

10. Sing Karaoke, because, why not? Your bound to be in stitches by the end of the night, plus, who doesn't secretly want to sing "You're the one that I want" from Grease with your partner!

11. Have a movie marathon, whether it be Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Twilight or Fast and Furious. Sometimes just being in each others company is enough.

12. Hit the town, find the nearest comedy club and see if there is any good talent on. If not you are still bound to have a few laughs along the way.

13. Get adventurous and make your own cocktails, no internet allowed. Nothing better than not only having a tasty drink but making something of your own!

14. HAVE FUN. What ever you decide to do just make sure you enjoy yourself! I wish you all a very happy Valentines!

Are you doing anything fun this year? And any other date tips you recommend?

Love
