Cruelty Free Beauty Review; Body Shop Banana Shampoo and Conditioner

The Body Shop Banana Shampoo and Conditioner Review | www.e-k-w.co.uk

I haven't written a beauty review in what seems like forever but I thought it was about time I shared some of the great products that I have found and tried out over the past six months, which are of course, cruelty free.

Adopting cruelty free beauty lifestyle is something I personally found relatively easy for makeup but finding shampoo and condition that actually kept my hair feeling and looking good along with smelling really nice was pretty hard (previously superdrug was my saviour).

I'd heard about The Body Shop's shampoo and conditioner range before and so, I finally decided to try out their banana products, which are meant for hair that struggles with dryness.

The first thing to note was the incredible smell of this product. It was kind of like a herbal essences moment but stronger and with the positivity of knowing no animals were tested on to create what I was using.

The shampoo made my hair feel incredibly clean. That sounds odd to type, but it's that feeling where you could, should you want to, make your hair squeak, like the hair is no longer covered in oils or any other product, just really really clean.

The conditioner works just as well but with the moisturising effect, leaving me with hair that felt mega soft. I always condition twice; once leaving it on for a few minutes and the second, a quick coating and rinsed with slightly cooler water to help seal the hairs and this seemed to work really well when using the conditioner.

Afterwards, my hair was left with a subtle banana scent as well. There is something about walking around and getting a waft of fruitiness to make you feel good about yourself!

The shampoo and conditioner are £6.50 each, so a little more than I am normally willing to pay but The Body Shop often have great deals on which make the products more reasonable. For how well the product works I would definitely continue to purchase them, they've become my after work out treat, leaving me feeling clean and revitalised. Sometimes a little pamper is exactly what you need a few times a week and these products offer exactly that!

Do you use any Body Shop Products? What cruelty free shampoo do you recommend?
