Last Minute Festivals To Attend This Summer

Festivals are a huge part of British summertime and if like me you still haven't booked onto any, there is no need to panic as I have created a list of last minute opportunities where you can grab your tent and have a weekend away (in rain or sun).

So here is my pick of some of the best and most interesting festivals you can still grab a ticket to this summer...

Latitude, Henham Park, Suffolk
Somehow there is still tickets for Latitude festival which takes place this weekend! It is an absolutely brilliant festival which combines music, comedy, theater and literature. Perfect for all ages with dancing till late if desired and a kid zone for families. Latitude has been one of my favourite festivals to have previously attended and I would go back in a snap!
Date: 14th-17th July
Price: Adult £205, accompanying teem £140

Secret Garden Party, Cambridgeshire
Located in Cambridgeshire, the event boasts a lake, games arcade, spiritual playground and an art garden to name a but a few areas of interest. This festival has been on my bucket list for quite some time, sadly I cant make it this year due to my graduation but maybe next year I finally will!
Date: 21st-24th July
Price: Adult £180, Teem £135

Kendal Calling, Lowther Deer Park
This years festival looks set to be the best yet with the likes of Madness, The Hives, We are Scientists, Everything Everything and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds playing. The music along with the real ale festival, a garden of eden, cinema and a market there is something to keep everyone entertained no matter what the time.
Date: 28th-31st July
Price: Adult £135, Youth (11-15) £75

Boardmasters, Watergate Bay, Newquay
If you're wanting to do something a little different Boardmasters is a great option. Based at Watergate bay, Fistral beach and Newquay as a whole. You not only get to hear some great bands (this years line up includes Chase and Status along with James Bay) but also see the worlds best surfers take to the sea and some of the best skaters around to. With after parties in Newquay and gigs on the beach as well, it is a mini holiday in one of my favourite places in the world, the location is enough to make me want to go every year (sadly this year my brothers getting married so I cant attend, I'm not having much luck am I?).
Date: 10th-14th August
Price: £149, for a long weekend £159

The Big Festival, The Cotswolds
This festival has been on my radar for some time due to how food orientated it is (yes foodies get excited). From cookery, show, master classes and chefs like Raymond Blanc and Jamie Oliver it is bound to be a treat, To top it all off, they have music from the likes of Mark Ronson, Tinie Temper, Keiser Chiefs, The Proclamers and Ella Henderson and so you will never be bored. The only issue is the price of extras such as the dinner parties (you'll need another £87 per person for one night, OUCH)
Date: 26th-28th August
Price: Adult £175, Teen £90

End of the Road, Larmer Tree Gardens, Dorset
For a festival with alternative music such as folk and country and a completely new festival experience the End of the Road festival is perfect if you. The idea of going to a place where I hardly know any of themusic and just finding new acts I like gives me a little thrill and I feel this festival offers exactly this! The food also seems a little different that other festivals with plenty of exotic treats for you to try.
Date:1st-4th September
Price: Adult £195, Teen £150

Festival no.6, Portmeirion, North Wales
A little like Latitude  festival, this festival combines music such as Bastille with theatre performances, health and healing activities, comedy and talks. There is really something for everyone and a perfect late summer festival and the surrounding area is gorgeous. This means you really can get back in touch with nature, even if its only for a weekend.
Date: 1st-4th September
Price: Adults £205, Youth (11-15) £140

I hope you liked my festival selection, what festivals would you recommend this summer? Are you heading to any festivals?
